Happy One Year Anniversary

Today is our 1st anniversary!! We still can't believe that it has already been a year. Man, does time fly by fast or what? We finally got our wedding album a few weeks ago which was nice to get that wrapped up. Who knew that the album process could take that long! We are just relieved that the we have the finished product and it looks amazing. After the horrible weather this weekend, we realized how blessed we were to have such a perfect, beautiful day one year ago. God was definitely with us on that day and was looking out for us. It was a perfect day to marry a perfect man. Iam beyond blessed that God brought Adam and I together as one. To celebrate our anniversary, we went to dinner at Swan Court where we got married. We both really enjoyed it and it was also our first time back since the big day. On our 2nd anniversary, we already look forward to taking Addy there and letting her run around!! We have been so blessed this past year and life couldn't be any better. We are so excited and anxious to meet our little girl, Addyson Renee. We have learned that a lot can happen in one year!! We look forward to many more wonderful years to come!

It's a GIRL!!

She is sucking her thumb!
It's officially a sweet, precious, baby girl! Adam and I are thrilled and couldn't feel more blessed. Now we need to get moving on painting, etc. Time is flying by so fast and she will be here before we know it! I have lots of friends ask about the name...we are pretty sure we have come to a final decision, but we would still like to think about it. It is such a huge decision, so the name will be revealed soon!! The 20 week sonogram is longer than a usual one because they take pictures and label each part to make sure everything looks good and is right on track. So, I am laying there and the sonographer proceeds to take pictures and types in the label. (ex. Four chambers, Spine, toes, feet, etc.) As he is doing this, we are in awe just looking at her and her little tiny features. As most of you know, Adam has referred to the baby as "her" since day one. Me, on the other hand, wasn't as convinced as daddy was. Then the sonographer proceeds to label a part and starts typing, FEMALE. I gasp!! He jumps and goes, "I thought you already knew?" He assumed we knew for sure since Adam kept calling the baby "her." We then tell him how we did the 13 wk screening and the Dr. said most likely girl, but could still be a boy. It was really comical because it was just so nonchantly. Good thing we wanted to know the gender!!!

Snow, Snow, and More Snow

Adam and I are in Ohio for the week. It has been snowing for the last 2 days! I love the snow. I grew up in upstate NY with lots of snow and I thought I missed it until I experienced not being able to feel my hands or feet in the 20 degrees temperature. I guess I am getting too old for the cold! This is Zachary's 1st experience with snow and he had a blast. He must of built a 100 plus snowballs. He had a good time throwing them at us and then would just stand there so we could throw them back at him. He thought that was pretty funny. We built a snowman, but didn't find items for the eyes, etc. so we will have to go back out later today or tomorrow and build another snowman and this time be more prepared.

Tag! Your're it!

I have been tagged by my tech buddie, Shelley....so here it goes. I have to write six quirky things about myself and then tag five other bloggers! 6. When I get really sad, I sleep with "Teddy." He is a teddy bear I got on the day I was born:) 5. I will not buy off-brand food! I have always been so wierd about that and I am sure it is no different than the name brands. I just can't do it! 4. Four Times Bigger!

We had our 2nd sonogram on Monday and it was amazing. In just one week, the baby has grown 4 times the size. It is so hard to fatham the miracle of life. Adam and I were both in awe and couldn't believe our eyes. The heartbeat is also at 131 bpm which the doctor said is perfect! It is still so hard to believe that is all going on in my body. It may take me 9 months for it to actually sink in! The doctor did offer bed rest since my nausea is so extreme. I said no for now as I don't want to use any of my days. I want to save them to spend time with our future, little munchkin! The meds she has prescribed are not even phasing me. I take one at night that knocks me out in less than 15 minutes. That is the good stuff! I am hoping that this 24/7 nausea will soon pass in the weeks ahead. On a positive note, it reassures us that all is well with Baby Daley!

My Daddy Says Bad Things About Michigan

About 3 weeks ago, I faced the challenge of how to tell Adam that I was pregnant and that we were going to embark on a new journey in our life together. After taking several different pregnancy tests and falling in a daze about ALL the positive results, I couldn't wait to tell Adam. On that Monday, I pondered all day on what to do...I wanted it to be special. Adam is usually home from work each day before me except this for this day so it was perfect. His company had other employees in town from Chicago so he had to go to dinner with them after work and then out for drinks. I was dying to tell him and thought about waiting until Tuesday, but just couldn't! I had kept this to myself all day!! That was hard! Adam called about 10:00 that night to check in and let me know that they were heading to another bar for some more drinks. At this point I had no choice but to ask if he could come home because I wasn't feeling good. I could tell from the tone in his voice that he was extremely frustrated, but came home as I had asked him to. As most of you know, Adam prosped to me in the garage so I decided to continue the tradition and break the exciting news to him in the same way. I pulled a stool from the kitchen into the garage. I sat on the stool holding a poster that read, "My Daddy Says Bad Things About Michigan." How perfect would this be especially since we are going to the Ohio State Vs. Michigan game in November.

My heart was racing as I anxiously sat on the stool waiting for the garage to open. Around 11pm or so, the garage slowly opened and Adam began to pull in the driveway. He saw me sitting there and stopped and was the reading the poster I was holding. His face was priceless as his mouth dropped open and his eyes filled with tears. He jumped out of the car and couldn't believe it! We both were a crying mess! We feel extremely blessed by God and look forward to this amazing journey!
