Fashionista in the Making

Back in February, Addy got asked to be in Nordstrom Fashion Show on March 26. (think we may shop there a little too much:)) I had kinda forgotten about it until the manager of the kids dept called in March to schedule a time for us to come and pick out her outfit to wear....how fun! We decided on this ADORABLE one piece zebra/pink tutu outfit. It just seemed to fit Addy's outgoing, vibrant personality! She looked too precious for words in it! So last Saturday, we ventured to Nordy's (what we like to call it) at 9am. It was such a fun experience and extremely well organized! There was even a make-up station for the girls! Addy sat and got just a little blush and lip gloss....she LOVED it!! She saw all the other girls getting it done and waiting very patiently for her turn. Now we were all ready for the runway:) As we were waiting in line for her turn, she kept pointing to the runway and saying "go" "go"....she was ready for her fashion debu. There was an announcer and they read a little blurb about each kid along with their age. Addy first got down and started to walk and then she looked up and saw all the people and looked for me. So I went down the runway with her and we did a few twirls at the end.:) We just had a blast! It was just SO fun and she LOVED it! All of the grandparents, cousins, and Aunt Sue were there. She gave all of them the biggest grin afterwards! I think we may have a Future Fashionista!

Dallas Zoo

We took Addy to the Dallas Zoo for the first time a few weeks ago! It was a beautiful day and we couldn't of asked for more perfect weather! The newer section, Out of Africa, was amazing! We spent most of our time there with the giraffes. If you haven't been, you can feed the giraffes and they actually come up to you! Addy loved it!! She kept saying, Giraffes, Giraffes! One of the giraffes actually camed up to her and sniffed her arm up and down. She literally froze and gave a loud squeal! We thought it was funny, but Addyson didn't! :) Here are just a few pics of our wonderful day!

Sports!!

Addy loves playing soccer and t-ball at home. She also enjoys going to all of her cousins soccer, softball, and basketball games and always wants to play to so I decided to sign her up for a preschool sports class. She LOVES it!! We have so much fun together! I took some pics of this weeks class. It was hard to catch her since she was always on the move!

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Addy was "Foofa" from Yo Gabba Gabba. She is addicted to YGG right now so it was a perfect fit! We went over to go trick or treating with the cousins! (We missed not having Cousin Joe & Zachary! ) Addy is SO lucky to have such wonderful cousins! Big Cousin Dani decided to wear Addy's Foofa collar:) They looked cute together as always! Addy was a pro at trick or treating right away! At the houses where they told her to pick...well, Addy took her time to check all the options out and then would start taking one by one. We had to cut her off after a few picks:) Then she would look in her bucket and check it out. She would even sit at the end of each driveway to go through her candy and would hand a piece to each cousin. So cute and sweet! Btw...cousin Alex was a beat up soccer player and cousin Jack was some kind of monster. He wore a scary mask and Addy kept on pointing to him the entire time saying, "Jack." It's like she kept reassuring herself it WAS Jack behind that scary mask! Addy had a blast as always and kept wanting to go to more houses, but it was time to head home! Happy Halloween!!

Supervisor in the Making!

Adam took Addy last Saturday morning to Dallas to volunteer at the Salvation Army Children's Shelter. They needed volunteers to help with yard work as well as other misc things. I absolutely LOVE these two pictures and they make me laugh everytime I look at them. It so looks like Addyson is "supervising" the volunteers! I am thinking we have a leader in the making!

Tis the Season for Pumpkins!

Last weekend, we ventured out for a fun day at the arboretum. Addy fell asleep on the way there, so it took her a little while to "wake" up when we got inside, but once she got out of her daze, she was full of energy. It was chilly at first and them warmed up....what perfect weather! Addy loved playing in all the "old time" houses and made lots of friends to play with. (That's my social girl!) She also fell (pretty hard) in one of the houses and got her first knee scrape...not one tear! I love how tough she is! Addyson is just such a happy girl who just loves to run everywhere and be on the go so the arboretum is a great place for her! On the way out, we decided to let her play in the pumpkin village one last time. She had a blast climbing on all the pumpkins, kicking them like a soccer ball (she kept saying "ball"), and playing "Where's Addy" in the pumpkin houses. It was a great day filled with lots of fun!
On a side note...notice the pics with no hairbow? Well, her bow fell out, I turned around seconds later to pick it up and it was GONE! Someone picked up the bow right behind me and took it! Are you kidding me? It is just a bow, but I can't believe someone did that right behind us. People always amaze me!

Potty Time!

Guess who sits on the potty!?! Yep, my BABY girl! I wasn't planning on starting the potty training process until 18-19 mos, but Addyson has shown signs withing the past 2 months that she is "ready" to start. She loves to flush the toilet and has been taking off her diaper for the past few months...sooooo with all that said, I thought, what the heck?!? I ordered a potty online and it all began! Addy has been sitting on the potty for a little over a week now. It's crazy to me! We don't push the issue, she does it all on her own. We put her potty chair in her bathroom. She sits on it a few times a day and then on her own. She will take off her shorts, then her diaper and walk into the bathroom and sit on her potty....ALL ON HER OWN! We are amazed! I guess she was ready! Yesterday, I asked her, "do you need to go potty" This is the first time I have ever said this to her. She said "yes", took off her diaper and went and sat on her potty. My mouth just dropped! How did my 15mo old baby girl get SO big...sniff! sniff! My goal is to have her potty trained by 2! We are not pushing the issue at all.....just have her potty chair for when she wants it. I have a feeling that she is going to be potty training herself....so far, we have done nothing, but ordered the potty chair! This pic is from the day we got the chair in the mail...btw....LOVE this potty chair! I did lots of research:)
