Tis the Season for Pumpkins!

Last weekend, we ventured out for a fun day at the arboretum. Addy fell asleep on the way there, so it took her a little while to "wake" up when we got inside, but once she got out of her daze, she was full of energy. It was chilly at first and them warmed up....what perfect weather! Addy loved playing in all the "old time" houses and made lots of friends to play with. (That's my social girl!) She also fell (pretty hard) in one of the houses and got her first knee scrape...not one tear! I love how tough she is! Addyson is just such a happy girl who just loves to run everywhere and be on the go so the arboretum is a great place for her! On the way out, we decided to let her play in the pumpkin village one last time. She had a blast climbing on all the pumpkins, kicking them like a soccer ball (she kept saying "ball"), and playing "Where's Addy" in the pumpkin houses. It was a great day filled with lots of fun!

On a side note...notice the pics with no hairbow? Well, her bow fell out, I turned around seconds later to pick it up and it was GONE! Someone picked up the bow right behind me and took it! Are you kidding me? It is just a bow, but I can't believe someone did that right behind us. People always amaze me!

Potty Time!

Guess who sits on the potty!?! Yep, my BABY girl! I wasn't planning on starting the potty training process until 18-19 mos, but Addyson has shown signs withing the past 2 months that she is "ready" to start. She loves to flush the toilet and has been taking off her diaper for the past few months...sooooo with all that said, I thought, what the heck?!? I ordered a potty online and it all began! Addy has been sitting on the potty for a little over a week now. It's crazy to me! We don't push the issue, she does it all on her own. We put her potty chair in her bathroom. She sits on it a few times a day and then on her own. She will take off her shorts, then her diaper and walk into the bathroom and sit on her potty....ALL ON HER OWN! We are amazed! I guess she was ready! Yesterday, I asked her, "do you need to go potty" This is the first time I have ever said this to her. She said "yes", took off her diaper and went and sat on her potty. My mouth just dropped! How did my 15mo old baby girl get SO big...sniff! sniff! My goal is to have her potty trained by 2! We are not pushing the issue at all.....just have her potty chair for when she wants it. I have a feeling that she is going to be potty training herself....so far, we have done nothing, but ordered the potty chair! What's New in Addy's World!?!

So....I have been neglecting the blog writing lately...sorry! I love to read other's blogs, yet don't take the time to keep ours updated, but plan on changing that!

We have been so busy lately and Addy is growing up FAST! She talks all the time and is always on the move! She will say things in complete sentences and her vocabulary amazes us each day as it continues to grow. Her "favorite" phrase lately is "Goooooo Bucks!" ummmm...wonder where she gets that from:) We say OH-IO, then Addy follows it with her Gooooo Bucks! It is the cutest thing ever! We can't wait to take her to a Buckeye game next year!

One of her other things to do lately is play soccer. She loves to kick the ball and dribble! She is going to play soccer in the Spring and be on a team with daddy....that should be entertaining! I am thinking Addy will either be the ball hog or the one who grabs the ball and runs away with it! We try and take her each week to one of her cousins soccer games. On Saturday, we went to watch cousin Alex. Addy wants to run on the field and get the ball. She yells "ball" as the girls play. Towards the end of the game, a team that was playing next was warming up and Addy (who has no fear) decides to run up to the team and pile of balls and help herself. She wanted to play "soccer" with the girls. We don't think she realizes she is about 10 yrs younger than them:)

Addyson is ONE!

Addyson turned ONE on June 2! I always thought that time flew by, but after having a baby, it really amazes me how time DOES fly by! How is my sweet, baby girl already one?!? This past year has been absolutely AMAZING! Parenthood is indescribable as you moms and dads already know:) I treasure each moment with her and LOVE spending all day with her everyday! I feel very blessed! To celebrate Addy's birthday, we decided to just have family over. Yes, I still went overboard according to Adam. He is already very nervous about next year when we start inviting friends and family! All of our family from both sides came over and we had a full house! When you have 6 bigger cousins, it gets crazy fun! We feel Addy is SOO lucky to have bigger cousins to play with and they are always looking out for her and taking care of her. She has the BEST cousins and lights up everytime she sees them! We had a great party day and Addy is one very lucky girl!

Almost....

walking!! Addyson has been on the verge of walking for the past few months, but has really gotten the self-confidence in the past few weeks to walk and stand on her own! She loves to walk everywhere while holding on to one of my hands. She stands on her own and tries to stand up all by herself from the crawling position without any help....It is so cute to watch:) She takes a few steps here and there when she feels like it. I am waiting for the day she just takes off out of nowhere...I know it's coming soon! I can't wait!

I love, love, love this age! Addyson is so much fun and I love her more than anything. She understands several words and things we say to her. One of her favorite things to do is "Touchdown." We decided to get her ready early for the Buckeye football season especially since she will going to her first Ohio State game in September! Daddy's goal is to have her saying "OH-IO" by then!

I LOVE my Pooh!

9 Months!

Addyson turned 9 months on March 2. I still can't get over how fast time flies and how quickly she is growing up. She finally got her 1st tooth this week! The 2nd one is about to pop through as well. Two bottom teeth:) It's amazing how 2 teeth make my baby girl look so grown up. Addy is quite mobile and has been since 5 1/2 months. She has mastered crawling, pulling up & down, and cruising furniture in which she did all before 7 months so she keeps me quite busy! She has been into walking while holding our hands. She lets go and can stand and sometimes even takes a step until she realizes she isn't holding on to anything and then falls! When she does fall, we say "Girl down" and she laughs! We will be surprised if she isn't walking by 10 months! We had Addyson's 9 month check up today. She weighed 17 lbs 9 oz and is 27 in. long. She is in the 25th percentile for both. She is definitely my sweet little princess!
