Christmas in the Square

On Saturday night, we met Aunt Shelly, Pop, cousin Jack and Zach at Frisco Square for the all the fun activities! They had a snow slide, but unfortunately it was not working properly so the kiddos didn't get to go down the hill of snow. Cousin Zachary was very diappointed, but he rode the train instead which made him happy! Addyson was an angel the entire time despite the cold. I think she was plenty warm since mom layered her up.:) She was mostly trying to figure out what was going on! We laughed because she was like Ralphie's little brother on A Christmas Story. She couldn't move and would just fall over!!! :):) When we got back to the car, we took her jacket off to put her in the carseat and she gave a big sigh of relief along with a huge smile!! I think she was a happy and much more comfortable girl. It was pretty funny!

Tis the Season!

On Friday afternoon, we went to the 3rd annual Polar Express parade at Willowbend mall. There were TONS of kids everywhere! Cousin Joe danced in the parade and was entertaining as always:) Addy loved all the action and music. At the end of the parade was Santa arriving in his Lexus...haha!! The parade was an hour long so by that time, Addy was not as interested. She was an angel the entire time though. We are so blessed to have such a beautiful little girl who is always happy and smiling no matter what.

Buzz Buzz Bee

Addyson was such a trooper on her first Halloween. We had been out most of the day watching football so she didn't have her normal naps and was extremely tired. She still was a happy girl and held up for a few houses and then it was time to go!! She had fun with all her cousins though! I made her bumblebee costume this year and had so much fun doing it! I am already thinking about what she could be next year!!

Say Cheese!

A few weeks ago, Addyson started smiling! She is just so adorable and we could just sit there all day and watch her smile. When we lay her down to change her, there are 2 places in the family room where she stares and starts to smile and giggle. We wish we could be in her shoes just for a second and see what she is exactly laughing at. It is SO funny to us bc she doesn it every time!

3 weeks old!

We can't believe that our little angel is already 3 weeks old tomorrow! Time has already flown by! Each day is a new adventure filled with lots of love and laughter. Becoming a parent has been an amazing experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. The one lesson I have learned so far is that your plans don't always work out as you had thought. I have come to realize 2 things:
  1. My plans and thoughts aren't always Addy's plans:)
  2. All babies are different and I have to do what's best for Addy no matter what. I have let too many people convince me that there is a right and wrong to things, but in reality, there isn't. You have to take each day as it comes.

Here are a few pics of our Princess from the last few weeks!!

40 weeks and still no baby!

We just got back from our 40 week Dr. appt. and I am at 1cm!! Woohoo! At this point, at least my body did something! We are scheduled to check-in the hospital on Tuesday, June 2 at 5:00 to start the induction process. We are extremely anxious for Addyson to be here! We are praying the process goes smoothy and she arrives on June 3rd!! This whole time we thought we would have a May baby, but apparently our daughter already has a mind of her own which could be scary:) Stay tune for pics of our sweet Addyson Renee...

39 Week Update

Well....still no change. We were orginally scheduled to go in on Monday night and be induced on Tuesday, May 26. After pondering it for a week, we decided to give Addy another week to come on her own. It is so tempting to have her in a few days as I have become extremely uncomfortable, but I figured at this point what is another week:) I am really not for being induced unless it is an emergency, for other medical reasons, or after the due date. So....if the "Addster" decides to continue to stay snuggled up in my belly, we will go in on June 2nd and have her June 3rd. This way we gave her plenty of time to make her debut into this world! Come on, Addy!

38 Week Update

We had our weekly doctor appointment today and there was no change. The doctor said she could come at anytime though! Hopefully Addy will decide to come on her own. We did go ahead and dicuss induction. I REALLY don't want to be induced. I want her to come when she is ready. We were given the option of May 26th or June 3rd. We are scheduled to go in the evening of May 25th if she hasn't made her debut by then which is before our due date. After pondering and really thinking about this most of the day, I am pretty sure we are going to change the date to June 3rd. My thinking is that June is AFTER my due date and that gives Addy one more week to come on her own. I think I would be more at ease knowing that we gave her more time to enter this world when she is ready. On the other hand, I want to be selfish because May 26th would be a week sooner for us to meet her. I am just praying and leaving this in God's hands. She could come tomorrow or next week for all we know and right now that is what I am hoping for!

Happy One Year Anniversary

Today is our 1st anniversary!! We still can't believe that it has already been a year. Man, does time fly by fast or what? We finally got our wedding album a few weeks ago which was nice to get that wrapped up. Who knew that the album process could take that long! We are just relieved that the we have the finished product and it looks amazing. After the horrible weather this weekend, we realized how blessed we were to have such a perfect, beautiful day one year ago. God was definitely with us on that day and was looking out for us. It was a perfect day to marry a perfect man. Iam beyond blessed that God brought Adam and I together as one. To celebrate our anniversary, we went to dinner at Swan Court where we got married. We both really enjoyed it and it was also our first time back since the big day. On our 2nd anniversary, we already look forward to taking Addy there and letting her run around!! We have been so blessed this past year and life couldn't be any better. We are so excited and anxious to meet our little girl, Addyson Renee. We have learned that a lot can happen in one year!! We look forward to many more wonderful years to come!

It's a GIRL!!

She is sucking her thumb!
It's officially a sweet, precious, baby girl! Adam and I are thrilled and couldn't feel more blessed. Now we need to get moving on painting, etc. Time is flying by so fast and she will be here before we know it! I have lots of friends ask about the name...we are pretty sure we have come to a final decision, but we would still like to think about it. It is such a huge decision, so the name will be revealed soon!! The 20 week sonogram is longer than a usual one because they take pictures and label each part to make sure everything looks good and is right on track. So, I am laying there and the sonographer proceeds to take pictures and types in the label. (ex. Four chambers, Spine, toes, feet, etc.) As he is doing this, we are in awe just looking at her and her little tiny features. As most of you know, Adam has referred to the baby as "her" since day one. Me, on the other hand, wasn't as convinced as daddy was. Then the sonographer proceeds to label a part and starts typing, FEMALE. I gasp!! He jumps and goes, "I thought you already knew?" He assumed we knew for sure since Adam kept calling the baby "her." We then tell him how we did the 13 wk screening and the Dr. said most likely girl, but could still be a boy. It was really comical because it was just so nonchantly. Good thing we wanted to know the gender!!!
